Modern Sectionals create a great gathering spot for friends. Watch this short video to learn about modern sectional furniture selections.
Hi! “It’s Stylin’ with Joey” and today we are going to talk about sectionals. I love sectionals, it’s comfortable, and it can be used in a variety of room styles. As you see what I did, I styled this to be a little transitional, a little classic and a bit modern, so it fits in all sorts of different room interiors. One of the biggest misconceptions that I come into as an interior designer is people feeling that they need to push a sofa up against a wall to give the illusion or feeling of more space. Actually, visually, when you take a sofa and you float it in the middle of the room, it makes the room feel bigger and it’s more comfortable for everyone to get into that sofa from either end. What I am sitting on right now, is the Kelsey by Bernhardt Interiors, it looks great. It is actually comprised of three sections of a sofa that we put together to create this really unique U-shape. There is a chaise on one side and a regular 3-seat sofa on my left side and in-between we have an armless settee. It is three sections that make up this configuration for this sofa. This velvet looking fabric is a poly-rayon, which means it is not only long lasting but also it is luxurious and if you spill something on it, it is not the end of the world. Wipe it up and its fine. I can see myself in a large family room with a flat screen TV and me kicking back with all my friends enjoying this beautiful sectional from Luxe Home Philadelphia.
